Dr. Timothy Runyan has been around animals since a young age. When he was 4 years old, he told his mother that he would become a veterinarian someday.
Prior to living in Georgia, he lived in Arizona where he worked as a zookeeper and found a love for all things exotic. Following his graduation from Arizona State University, he moved to Georgia to be near his wife's family. He was accepted to the University of Georgia's College of Veterinary Medicine program where he graduated cum laude.
After earning his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, Dr. Runyan joined the team at Hamilton Mill Animal Hospital. He has a special interest in exotic animal medicine as well as surgery.
Outside of work, he likes spending time with his wife, Tara, and his daughter, playing board games, attending Renaissance Festivals, and exploring zoos. He has three dogs: Kiron, Khadgar, and Loki.
Dr. Runyan looks forward to helping all your pets no matter the species or breed.
